What Is Home Physical Therapy?
Home Physical Therapy is a service in which a licensed physical therapist (PT) with a valid professional license visits the patient’s home to assess functional abilities, set rehabilitation goals, and provide an individualized rehabilitation program. The service supports patients recovering from stroke and hemiparesis, postoperative patients, bedridden patients, and older adults who have difficulty traveling. Training takes place in the patient’s actual home environment, which can improve functional recovery beyond clinic-based training alone.
