Frequently Asked Questions — Home Nursing Care
How Is Private-Duty Nursing at Home Different from Private-Duty Nursing at a Hospital?
At home: A nurse provides continuous care in the patient’s home for 12–24 hours, suitable for patients who have returned home but still require nursing-level care. At the hospital: A nurse stays with the patient in the hospital room, provides care, coordinates with the hospital nursing team, and communicates with the family. KIN provides both services.
How Much Does It Cost to Hire a Home Nurse?
Continuous-care packages: THB 3,500/day (12 hours), THB 22,500/week, or THB 90,000/month. One-time procedures: urinary catheter replacement THB 2,200, NG tube replacement THB 1,600–1,900, and wound care THB 1,200. Free assessment: call 061-881-9399
How Is a Home Nurse Different from a Nursing Assistant (NA)?
A registered nurse (RN) holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a valid professional license and can perform clinical procedures such as tube or catheter replacement, injections, suctioning, and wound care.
