How is KIN different from a nursing home?
KIN is a Medical Rehabilitation Center — not a nursing home. We have specialist physicians in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Neurology who design individualized rehabilitation programs, supported by advanced technologies including Hydrotherapy, TMS, and HBOT. Our goal is genuine recovery, not simply residence.
How long does Stroke rehabilitation take?
The "Golden Period" is the first 6 months after a Stroke, when the brain's Neuroplasticity is at its peak. The first 3 months are especially critical. KIN recommends beginning rehabilitation immediately once the patient is medically stable. Most patients see meaningful improvement within 30–90 days.
What are the overall costs at KIN?
Monthly care from 25,000 THB · 15-day residential stay 18,000 THB · Stroke rehabilitation per week 19,999 THB · Comprehensive Stroke Recovery Package from 71,000 THB. All packages include meals and 24-hour nursing care; rehabilitation packages also include physical therapy once a day.
Do physicians actually supervise patients every day?
Yes. KIN has specialist physicians conducting assessments across all disciplines, with on-call physicians available 24 hours. The multidisciplinary team holds case conferences for every patient each week.
Can we try KIN before making a long-term commitment?
Yes. For older adults, KIN offers a 7-day trial stay (a room with a caregiver, laundry service, meals, 24-hour registered nursing and a basic exercise program). For stroke patients, there is a 1-week rehabilitation trial at 19,999 THB with physical therapy once a day for one hour. No long-term commitment required.
What is Hydrotherapy and who is it suitable for?
Hydrotherapy is rehabilitation performed in a temperature-controlled pool. Water buoyancy significantly reduces pressure on joints and muscles, enabling patients to walk and exercise without pain — ideal for Stroke patients who cannot yet bear full body weight on land.
