Nursing Home & Elderly Care at KIN Bearing, Sukhumvit 107 — Inside a Physical Therapy Hospital

Long-term elderly care delivered inside a licensed physical therapy hospital: registered nurses on duty 24 hours, specialist physicians reviewing every case, daily physiotherapy and an indoor hydrotherapy pool — five minutes from BTS Bearing.

Every Family Understands This Feeling

Deciding that a parent needs residential care is rarely simple. These are the concerns families bring to us.

Guilt about not caring for them yourself

Work and distance make round-the-clock care at home impossible, and that feels like failing them. Choosing a place with real medical supervision is a way of caring, not of giving up.

Worry that a care home is not medical enough

Most elderly care homes are registered as residences with general caregivers. If your parent has several chronic conditions, falls often or struggles to swallow, that level of care is not enough.

Fear of decline once they stop moving

Without daily activity, muscle strength falls away and the risk of becoming bedbound rises quickly. Care alone is not the goal — maintaining function is.

Bedbound Care at KIN Bearing — Registered Nurses on Duty 24 Hours

Caring for a bedbound resident is very different from caring for an older person who is still mobile, because the risks build quietly and constantly.

Repositioning and pressure sore prevention

Scheduled turning and positioning, pressure-relieving mattresses and skin checks every shift, because a pressure sore takes far longer to heal than to prevent.

Tube feeding and swallowing care

Many bedbound residents cannot swallow safely. The team manages nasogastric feeding, positions residents to reduce aspiration into the lungs, and reassesses swallowing periodically.

Suctioning and airway care

Suction equipment and nurses able to use it at any hour — a limitation that general caregivers at home cannot overcome.

Rehabilitation to prevent contractures

Even when a resident cannot yet stand, physiotherapists move the joints daily to prevent permanent stiffness, and assess the prospect of sitting or standing again.

Palliative and End-of-Life Care

KIN Bearing accepts residents needing palliative and end-of-life care, with the aim of keeping them as comfortable as possible and allowing the family meaningful time together.

Managing pain and distressing symptoms

Physicians and nurses assess pain, breathlessness and other distressing symptoms, adapting care day by day to how the resident actually is.

Agreeing the plan with the family

Before care begins we discuss goals and boundaries so everyone understands them, which reduces the need for rushed decisions during a crisis.

Visit as often as you wish

At this stage time together matters most, so we make space and visiting hours flexible to each family's needs.

Support for the family too

It is not only the resident who needs care. The team is available to advise relatives facing an approaching loss.

Questions Families Ask Before Deciding

Can we visit before deciding?

We recommend it. Book ahead and the team will show you the rooms, the hydrotherapy pool and the therapy areas. Visits and assessments are free of charge.

Do you accept residents with dementia or Alzheimer's?

Yes. A physician assesses each case and the team plans care around the stage of the condition and any behavioural symptoms.

What happens if a resident becomes unwell at night?

Registered nurses are on duty 24 hours and physicians are reachable. If a transfer to an acute hospital is needed, the team arranges it and informs the family immediately.

Is there an English-speaking team?

Yes. Please mention it when you call or message on LINE so we can arrange the right staff.

Can we bring our own doctor's prescriptions?

Yes. Please bring existing prescriptions and medical records so our physicians can review them before admission.

How far is it from BTS Bearing?

About five minutes. How often family can visit affects a resident's morale directly, which is why the location matters.
