DoCare is a device and platform developed by Nexter Living Co., Ltd., an SCG affiliate and is delivered in collaboration with KIN Rehabilitation & Homecare and Bangkok Drugstore.
DoCare is an innovative health-monitoring and reporting solution that uses Internet of Things (IoT) technology to enhance healthcare and safety. Smart devices automatically collect health data, including body temperature, heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen level and blood glucose level. The system also provides fall detection and emergency assistance features, enabling doctors, nurses and caregivers to deliver continuous and accurate care and respond promptly when abnormalities occur. Measurement reports are transmitted to family members in real time, providing greater confidence that parents, older relatives and loved ones using DoCare are supported by a professional team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and multidisciplinary healthcare personnel.

Services from KIN include a nursing team available 24 hours a day to answer questions about health concerns and symptoms affecting patients and older adults, such as headaches, dizziness, breathing difficulty, shortness of breath, knee pain and back pain, with guidance on what to do when symptoms occur. KIN also provides home visits by registered nurses for patients requiring tube feeding or wound care, including diabetic or cancer-related wounds, as well as home-based physical therapy for patients who have difficulty travelling or being transferred, or whose caregivers need additional rehabilitation guidance.

Training is also provided for DoCare users, relatives and caregivers on topics such as suitable patient diets, safe patient transfers, activities of daily living, wound care and elderly care. Training sessions are held every month in both on-site and online formats.

Services from Bangkok Drugstore include 24-hour medication consultation by pharmacists for non-severe illnesses, together with home delivery of medicines.
DoCare is designed to support the safety of older adults at home. It sends alerts to family members when an incident occurs and provides emergency assistance through alert devices. A Care Center team is available 24 hours a day to answer calls, provide support and coordinate an ambulance for emergencies. Users can feel reassured knowing that a standard ambulance and qualified medical personnel are expected to arrive within 30 minutes after an incident is reported.

Benefits to Society

When DoCare is used in homes where recovering patients require close supervision—such as people with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, dialysis-stage kidney disease, cancer after chemotherapy, post-operative conditions, stroke, paresis, paralysis, pressure injuries, memory impairment, dementia, bedridden status or limited ability to care for themselves—patients, relatives and caregivers can receive guidance from medical personnel and specialists 24 hours a day. This helps families feel reassured, enables relatives to continue working and supporting household income, reduces costs compared with prolonged hospitalization and helps improve the standard of home-based patient care through cooperation among all parties.
