Scenes From a Group Occupational-Therapy Activity Led by an occupational therapist
Activity: “Lanterns of Love”
A Creative Sky-Lantern Craft Activity
The activity gave service users an opportunity to practise fine motor skills,
use their arms and hands in a purposeful task,
and engage attention, thinking, and memory through a creative group activity.
Occupational therapy is a health profession that supports people whose physical, psychological, cognitive, or developmental conditions affect participation in everyday life. Occupational therapists assess individual needs and use meaningful activities, environmental adaptations, suitable equipment, and skill training to help each person participate as safely and independently as possible in the activities that matter to them.
