After discharge from hospital, the early phase of rehabilitation is a time when continued training matters. The outpatient course suits patients who can stay at home and travel in for scheduled sessions. A physical therapist assesses the patient before starting, sets goals together with the family, and reassesses periodically to adjust the plan. Results vary between individuals.
