5 Simple At-Home Movements for Neck and Shoulder Discomfort
Neck and shoulder discomfort is often associated with prolonged desk work, limited movement, muscle fatigue, stress, or other conditions sometimes grouped under the term office syndrome.
These symptoms may develop when a person remains in one position for a long time or moves too little during the day.
Gentle movement may help some people reduce temporary stiffness and muscle tension,
but it cannot prevent every cause of neck or shoulder pain. During work, change position regularly and consider a brief movement break about every hour when practical.
Stand up, walk briefly, or perform comfortable movements to reduce prolonged static loading.
This video demonstrates five simple movements for temporary neck and shoulder discomfort.
