Ular Review EP.8 | Hand and Finger Rehabilitation and Emotional Support
Preparing for Confident Social Living
EP.8 focuses on the “small details” of hand and finger rehabilitation, while strengthening motivation and social skills.
Under holistic care from KIN’s multidisciplinary team.
As walking became more stable, Ular’s rehabilitation entered another important stage: restoring hand and finger function. Even if walking improves well, daily life is still incomplete without fine motor control.
EP.8 therefore focuses on the “small details” that carry great meaning for quality of life, covering physical function, emotional wellbeing, and confident social reintegration under holistic care from KIN’s multidisciplinary team.
The Importance of Hand and Finger Rehabilitation in Daily Life
Hand and finger control is involved in almost every basic daily activity, including dressing, eating, and self-care. For Ular, rehabilitation of the left arm and leg would not be complete without fine motor training, which requires accurate and continuous brain control.
Training at this stage therefore does not focus on “strength” alone, but on precision, accuracy, and natural movement.
Steps in Ular’s Hand Skill Training
The occupational therapist designed training to match real-life daily situations so that the brain could apply the practised skills functionally.
Training Through Simulated Real-Life Activities
Activities such as
help stimulate the brain to relearn hand and finger control step by step, from simple to more difficult tasks, allowing movement to gradually become more natural.
Coordination Between the Brain and Hand
Every activity is not merely finger movement; it trains the brain to plan, control, and adjust force appropriately. High-quality repetition helps continuously strengthen neural pathways related to hand use.
Care That Goes Beyond Physical Therapy
In addition to physical recovery, KIN’s multidisciplinary team also places equal importance on mental health and social reintegration, because true rehabilitation does not end with better movement—it also requires readiness to live happily with others.
Group Occupational Therapy to Strengthen Motivation and Emotional Energy

Group interaction helps reduce anxiety, increase confidence, and make patients feel that they are “not walking this journey alone.”
Emotional Stability Is the Foundation for Returning to Society
Confidence developed through communication, shared activities, and acceptance within the group becomes an important emotional foundation. These experiences help prepare Ular to return to real social life naturally, happily, and with the courage to use his abilities again.
Paving the Way for the Next Stage of Rehabilitation
When refined hand and finger control is combined with emotional and social strength, it becomes the beginning of a deeper level of rehabilitation that supports long-term independent and stable living.
Ular’s EP.8 may not be the episode with the most immediately visible changes, but it is an important stage that lays the foundation for fully returning to life in the future.
