Botulinum toxin injections are widely used to soften dynamic wrinkles and, in selected cases, to reduce the activity of specific facial muscles. Depending on the treatment area and individual anatomy, they may also support a slimmer-looking lower face or subtle contour changes. Results are gradual rather than immediate and vary between individuals.

What May Botulinum Toxin Injections Help With?

1. Forehead Lines and Crow’s Feet – Injections may soften dynamic lines on the forehead, between the brows, or around the eyes by temporarily reducing targeted muscle activity.

2. Subtle Brow or Outer-Eye Lift – Carefully placed injections may create a mild lifting effect in selected patients. The degree of change is usually subtle and is not guaranteed.

3. Masseter Reduction and a Slimmer-Looking Lower Face – In people with enlarged masseter muscles, treatment may gradually reduce muscle bulk and make the lower face appear less square. It does not remove bone or facial fat.

4. Lower-Face Contouring – Strategic treatment of selected muscles may support a more balanced facial contour, but botulinum toxin does not directly tighten loose skin.
